The Story of "DND" inspiration

I’m going to begin by saying that this song was written prior to any of the events that transpired between me and the guy I wrote it about . It was actually written closer to when we began talking.

I looked at him, looked at myself and knew exactly where we would end up, straight in an energy of “Do not disturb” and the feeling was eventually mutual even though there was genuine love there.

The foundation was faulty because from the beginning of us meeting we were experiencing different phases of life. From the outside looking in, it looked very similar but from the inside looking out the perspectives were very different.

Both of us had been hurt.

Both of us had a new standard.

I was vocal with me being protective about myself.

His protective mechanism was very much action oriented.

Even though I was vocalizing my particular issues w/ our relationship

It fell on deaf & fearful ears (His protection mechanism being to “hold back , because I’ve given too much before")

My prospective being , I’m not going to stop giving and being present because one day someone will deserve it .

The difference between an opened and closed heart.

“I will not allow hurt to prevent me from being me. Pain only last forever if you allow it too.”

Anyway,

Eventually this led to an imbalance.

I feeling emotionally drained

He feeling emotionally pressured.

It led to separation

But there was understanding

It was silent

But understanding ..

Of course there were also a few external factors that prevented the connection from success but no one is to blame for the relationship not working.

Okay Girl What you Trynna Sayyyyy 🙄🤣🤣..

DND demonstrates leaving a connection positively accepting the bad and good of the experience and being grateful for it all. The relationship & experience behind the song taught me that yes, your internal beliefs definitely helps define what your life looks like on the outside. Everything starts from the inside & is manifested into reality from what you created and decided to internalize . Whether it be trauma , mistakes , opinions etc. Be careful what you continue to repeat in your mind about yourself and experiences you’ve had. An ended relationship doesn’t always mean a failed relationship. No matter what you and the person have been through, it gets to becoming too much , release but choose to release w/ love. Thats true for any relationship. Whatever you release into the universe is definitely what you receive moving forward <33

-We out .
